Transforming Trash thrives through community connection. Whether you’re an artist, local business, or resident, there are many ways to take part in reimagining waste as a resource. From attending events to donating tools or materials, your involvement helps support artists, promote sustainability, and bring creative reuse to life across Olmsted County.

    Artists are at the heart of this program.

    - Apply to be an Artist-in-Residence for 2026. Applications open December 1, 2025.

    - Meet our artists-in-residence through workshops, open studios, and unveiling events.

    - Access reclaimed materials through the Creative Reuse Access Program (coming soon).

  • Community

    Residents play a vital role in shaping this program’s impact.

    - Attend public events, open studios, and unveiling celebrations to connect with local artists.

    - Participate in creative reuse workshops and educational programs.

    - Donate or loan tools and materials- each artist’s needs will be listed online to help you contribute directly.

    - Propose new sites for public installations or exhibitions across Olmsted County.

  • Businesses

    Businesses and organizations are key partners in supporting creative sustainability.

    - Partner with us to sponsor residencies, events, or educational programs.

    - Donate surplus materials suitable for reuse in artworks or workshops.

    - Host installations, exhibitions, or community events that highlight sustainability and creativity.

    - Collaborate with artists and program staff to promote local innovation and circular design.
